Astronomy Night

Enjoy a night filled with all things space! Join us for hands-on activities led by museum educators and our community partners. Morrill Hall will be open late just for this event.

Time: 5:00-9:00pm
Pricing: Included with admission (members get in free). Current admission discounts including Museums for All ($1 for those qualifying for WIC/SNAP/EBT) are valid for this event.
Parking: Free parking in lot outside Morrill Hall
Tickets: Advance tickets are not required

ACTIVITIES

Some activities include, but not limited to:

  • Live planetarium program: Navigate the Night Sky -- learn to navigate the sky and your place in the universe
  • Use LEGO to look at the earth-moon system
  • Interactive space projects with the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts
  • Touch a real rock from space
  • Explore Telescopes
  • Space crafts
  • STEM in the sky with Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum
  • Experience Earth's magnetic field and the Aurora Borealis in augmented reality

SPECIAL PLANETARIUM SHOW

Navigate the Night Sky

Join us for a live-narrated planetarium program that explores the navigation of the night sky and our place in the universe.

Showtimes: 6pm, 7pm, 8pm
Tickets: Tickets can be purchased from the museum front desk at the standard planetarium show pricing. Stargazer level museum members get in free (acquire free ticket at front desk).
